Tamōx Talōm Food Forest @ Padre Park

Updated: Apr 29, 2022

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with Mitch Hagney, Nadia Gaona, Bryan Hummel, and Pete Van Dyke, at the Tamōx Talōm Food Forest, at Padre Park in San Antonio Texas.

I consider each one of these amazing people to be community and environmental heroes with a vision for a more regenerative future, and a heartfelt passion for the work that they do, day in and day out, in order to make that vision a reality. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for what each one of them has, and continues to contribute to our region.

A big shout out to all of the contributors that are helping to bring this project to life. It takes a community to create true abundance!

This food forest will not only nourish the community, but it looks to provide space for learning, teaching, interact, and of course turn flooding liabilities into groundwater recharge assets!

It has been exciting to see this project come to life over the past few years. Like most meaningful projects, it all started with a simple idea.

Ideas...after all, are one of the most powerful forces in humanity.

Check out the video below where we talk with Mitch about the community's vision for this beautiful public space.
