This month, Terra Advocati is happy to award a small grant to San Antonio College’s Eco Centro, Garcia St. Farm, to start producing and implementing vetiver into their current production model.
Vetiver grass is an amazing plant with exponential use cases, including water conservation, soil stabilization, erosion control, carbon sequestration, slope stabilization, biomass production for use on the farm, pest and insect control, and many more uses. See this presentation for more info.
The goals for this grant are:
1.) Monitor the many beneficial uses of vetiver integration within their production model.
2.) Produce a local, available stock of vetiver for other uses within the community.
